Series 1 contains clippings relating to the activities of African-, Cambodian-, Chinese-, Filipino-, Japanese-, Korean-, Mexican- and Vietnamese-Americans in California and especially in San Joaquin County, California between 1940 and 1989. Series 2 consists of photocopies of the school newspaper and other materials pertaining to Pacific Methodist College, Santa Rosa, California (1874-1899). Series 3 contains lists, correspondence, notes, bills and history pertaining to the J.A.B. Fry Library at the University of the Pacific. Series 4 contains books and indices pertaining to the history of the Methodist Episcopal Church, south on the Pacific Coast and books on Methodism containing articles by Pearl Sweet. Series 5 contains correspondence, clippings and notes about Pearl Sweet, her family and her husband, Evander M. Sweet's family.
